Understanding the Broad Meaning of Information, Knowledge and True Knowledge in a Particular Subject
Knowledge
We simply cannot call the collection of different types of information is an acquiring of knowledge. When we acquire some information, our mind processes the collected information in different ways and tries to sort out the applications of it. All the information that is collected is not processed out by our mind, only some of it is processed by our mind according to our level of concentration. The processed information with its implementation is called knowledge. Knowledge is derived from the information that we have collected. Different information provides us with different kinds of knowledge that is related to different fields. For an example, when we collect the information like one apple a day can keep us healthy, when we implement it into our life, it is called knowledge.
Academic knowledge
We collect various types of information in our academic life. Many different subjects are studied by us according to the curriculum. It goes from simple to complex according to the level of the study. Among the different types of information that we have collected, only some of it is converted into an academic knowledge. The purpose of academic information in the higher level is usually for our career. Some people gain a high level of academic knowledge whereas the other gains low amount of academic knowledge. The information that we have collected can be knowledge at some point of time but it may just be the outdated information after a certain period of time. For an example, implementation of information about using the typewriter that a person has collected was knowledge in the past but now it is just information for that person.
True knowledge
True knowledge in the particular subject comes to us when we understand the true value of the information that we have collected with its implementation in different ways. True knowledge is the wisdom that a human being achieves due to the deep understanding of different kinds of things with its true value that is related to different aspects of life. True knowledge in the particular subject matter is different thing. This does not mean specializing in the particular subject; one achieves true knowledge in the particular subject, when that person understands the true value of the information collected and feelings associated with information in the discovery of the particular information. The person should be able to explore new information and should have the ability to know if that information is outdated or not. The world is dynamic so understanding the dynamism of the world relating it with the beauty of information on the particular subject is the true knowledge in the particular subject. The person with true knowledge has an amazing ability to present the complex topics in simple and understandable manner Information without implementation is just information, information with implementation is knowledge but information with implementation along with an understanding of its true value is true knowledge.
